Permanent Acoustic Monitoring Systems

Always-on acoustic sensors installed permanently on plumbing systems, providing 24/7 leak detection with automated alerts.

How Permanent Acoustic Monitoring Systems Works

Permanent acoustic monitoring systems provide continuous leak surveillance for high-value buildings and critical infrastructure. Small, waterproof acoustic sensors are permanently installed at strategic locations throughout the plumbing system — typically on risers in each floor's mechanical room, at zone valves, and on main supply lines. The sensors listen 24/7 for the characteristic sound of water leaks, using advanced algorithms to distinguish leak sounds from normal building noise, HVAC operation, and occupant activity. When a potential leak is detected, the system sends an automated alert (email, SMS, or API call) to property management. Some systems can also integrate with building automation systems to automatically shut off water in response to confirmed leaks.
