Private Utility Locating in British Columbia

Electromagnetic and GPR locating of private buried utilities on BC residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

Professional Private Utility Locating Across BC

Before any excavation, core drilling, or ground disturbance on a BC property, knowing the location of buried utilities is essential for safety and regulatory compliance. Private utility locating covers the buried pipes and cables on the customer's side of the utility meter — the section of infrastructure that is owned and maintained by the property owner rather than the utility company. Unlike BC One Call locates (which only cover utility-owned infrastructure up to the meter), private utility locating covers everything from the meter to the building and throughout the property. Our technicians use electromagnetic (EM) line locating and ground-penetrating radar to trace and mark the position and depth of buried water lines, gas lines, electrical conduits, telecom cables, sewer lines, and specialty piping. We provide surface markings, GPS data, and CAD-compatible maps.
