Sink Leaking Under Counter — Cabinet Leak Detection

Possible Causes
- •Loose or corroded slip nut connections at P-trap or drain pipe
- •Worn or cracked supply line from shut-off valve to faucet
- •Leaking shut-off valve stem packing or worn washer
- •Failed caulking around sink rim allowing water to run down exterior
- •Cracked sink basin or disposal housing
Recommended Steps
- 1Empty cabinet and check all visible pipes with a flashlight
- 2Run water and observe each connection point for drips
- 3Wipe all connections dry, place paper towels under each, and check after 24 hours
- 4Tighten slip nuts gently — overtightening can crack fittings
- 5If connections are dry but cabinet is wet, check sink rim caulking or faucet base seals
