A geyser or fountain of water from a sprinkler zone indicates a broken pipe or damaged sprinkler head in the buried irrigation system.

Possible Causes

  • Broken sprinkler pipe from freeze damage or physical impact
  • Damaged or blown-out sprinkler head from age or vehicle impact
  • Loose or damaged fitting at sprinkler head riser
  • Failed swing joint allowing excessive movement
  • Root intrusion lifting or damaging sprinkler components
